Lake Superior Laser Cut Bathymetry Wall Map by Max Efelt
Max uses the laser to cut thin 1/8" plywood layers, glueing up many layers and then dyeing the wood darker shades of blue denoting depth and then glueing the classy project together.
Stellar!

Joe Says:
During August we finished our first usable spaces at our nearby additional space "the maker cave". We got the RC room up and running, exercise/weight room, and our mini rock climbing/bouldering wall. The last couple weeks we have taken time to enjoy the space some as well, and it's been a lot of fun. Exercise down there is a good time. RC play recently included testing a discus launch glider which was simple but a blast.
Moving forward Thursday night volunteering is still greatly appreciated. If anyone knows a company/individual who could help us with a curb cut, that would be great. And we are in need of running a gas powered power pressure washer soon as well, to peel some of the paint off the back of the building. We also will be having some private spaces/studios available in our second location so folks interested in those should come check them out. Just shoot me an email joe@DuluthMakerSpace.com.

Featured Class
Aromatherapy: Shower Steamers Class
The shower steamers are a fizzie for the shower. The inhalation of essential oils are released by being activated by the water. Depending on the choice of essential oils the shower steamers can open our sinuses and lift our spirits, or at the end of the day, the essential oils can help us relax to find rest.

Very Valuable Member Spotlight
Shari Illig
Shari has been a big help! From helping us market ourselves to, most recently, she single-handedly re-finished our women's bathroom at the cave. Between demolishing the gross old walls, to painting and putting up some custom wood trim and cabinetry she has easily volunteered 50hrs+ on that project! p> Thanks a lot, Shari!!
